Tummy Tuck Surgical Options

Full Abdominoplasty is used for significant extra abdominal skin and an extremely lax belly wall. The incision is horizontal and centered above the pubic area extending from hip bone to hip bone; it can be designed to hide within your preferred panty line. The belly button is kept attached and brought out at the same level.

Mini-Abdominoplasty is a less involved procedure that uses a shorter incision and has the potential for less objectionable scarring. The belly button is usually left untouched.

Abdominoplasty surgery can be performed as an outpatient procedure or sometimes require a short hospital stay. The downtime averages 2 to 4 weeks with no strenuous activity for 6 to 8 weeks. Dr. Nowicky will discuss your specific recovery plan during your consultation with Nowicky Plastic Surgery.
